I was looking for a bit of a whimsy – at the same time, something to explore some geometric shapes, going beyond the often wavy or curvy patterns. It was the holiday season, so it seemed only fitting to bring in the light of the season – the North Star.

I’d had some extra iridescent white glass from the “Goodnight Moon” piece. The glass has a stunning visual affect in soft back-lighting – appearing to glow – a perfect choice for a North Star.
