When working with glass, I’m especially drawn to the vibrant colors of the monochromatic glass often seen in cathedrals – especially reds and teals.
To express my LGBTQ+ allyship, it seemed natural to bring these colors to a Pride flag – mixing the red/teal and other cathedral colors with the colorless, stippled glass, reminds me of our amazing diversity – all colors, all shapes and sizes, and even textures.
The piece itself is meant to be hung where it can catch and spread the light as an ally for diversity, equity, and inclusion. It measures roughly 9″ x 18″, though could be replicated in larger sizes for a bolder or more prominent statement of your support and allyship.
It was recently offered for sale through Trove Art Gallery, and it seemed only fitting that this piece should sell during Pride month!
Since I first created this piece – I’ve duplicated it a few times – each different, representing the community itself.

What’s interesting about this piece, is that when light is NOT behind the piece (such as might happen when the piece is in a window at night) – the whispy light pink and blue trans-colors around the border really pop.
