This piece was a very early attempt with the copper foiling technique.

While I love the way it captures light, and the design itself – it’s a fairly primitive example of the technique itself. A good reminder for me to see how far we’ve come from earlier days. It’d certainly be a leap to go from this piece to something more complex, such as a lamp shade, so this piece also represents a “jumping-off” point – a place to go in another direction with the craft.

Maybe one day.
